Cycle maps and routes

There are also lots of quiet roads and off-road routes to help you explore Wiltshire, many of which have maps available on our Rural and Leisure cycling page. These maps, as well as those listed above, can be picked up from local Information Centres and libraries across the county.

Make sure you keep up to date with the rules of the road and follow our code of conduct for shared-use paths.

You can use our journey planner to find quieter routes in rural areas. Our journey planner can be used on mobiles, but we also recommend the Bike Hub app which can give voice instructions while you’re riding and allows you to download the maps before you start, so you don’t have to worry about losing reception.  The app also uses the same routing software as our journey planner.  Cycling UK provides a full list of apps including journey planner, GPS route-recording and mountain bike routes.
