New Thursday bus to Salisbury Health & Wellbeing Centre

A new Hoppa Service for the Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre in Salisbury will start on Thursday 9th June 2016.

This 12 month pilot service has been funded by the Salisbury Area Board, working with Wessex Community Action. The pilot is aimed at taking and returning people from the city centre to access facilities at the new Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre.

Return tickets cost £2 and buses will run Thursdays only from New Canal and Castle Street (Iceland bus stop).

The route will start from the bus stop in New Canal, Salisbury and go via High Street, Silver Street, Minster Street, Castle Street, Castle Road, Butts Road and Hulse Road. The service will have one stop at Castle Street, Salisbury and finish at the Five Rivers Community Health and Wellbeing Centre. There will be a ten minute turnaround, the vehicle will then turn and return to New Canal. There will again be a ten minute turnaround with an expected turning manoeuver and do a second run.

Once the vehicle has unloaded its second run with passengers at the Five Rivers Centre, there will be a ten minute turnaround and the vehicle will return, dropping passengers at Castle Street and New Canal. It will then return to Five Rivers where it will pick up its second passengers and return to New Canal via Castle Street. The Castle Street inward stop is for pick up only and the return stop is for drop off only.
