Free bus fortnight in Melksham and Bradford on Avon

17 Jul 2014

Wiltshire Council will be running a free bus fortnight in the first two weeks of August in Melksham and Bradford-on-Avon.

The buses will be free to all users from  Monday 4th to Saturday 16th August on:

  • Bradford-on-Avon Town service (98)
  • Melksham Metro service (14/15)

A new bus map will be distributed in both towns in the next two weeks.

You can check the bus timetables on traveline and check out the normal bus fares.

The Melksham Rail Link bus is free all year, but could be withdrawn if local people don’t use it.

Cllr Horace Prickett said “Taking the bus can help keep our towns beautiful by reducing congestion and pollution. It’s also a relaxing way to travel as you can browse the internet, chat with friends, and not worry about your driving skills if you’ve had a drink after work.”
