Cycle to Work Day

03 Aug 2015

Wiltshire Council is supporting Cycle to Work Day on Thursday 3rd September and there are prizes up for grabs for pledging to get on your bike that day and riding to work! According to the census data, 760,000 people in the UK cycle to work regularly – this number keeps growing steadily, but with Cycle to Work Day’s help we are aiming to make those numbers skyrocket this year and beyond! By 2021, we hope to see 1 million people regularly commuting to work by bike. Visit Cycle to Work Day for all the details and to make your pledge.

So dust off your bike, don your helmet and schedule some ride-time in your diary!

If you want to contribute your miles to the national campaign and be in with a chance of winning 1 of 3 brand new Claude Butler bikes, pledge your miles here.

Why not see who wants to share your ride to work on that day by setting up a group ride with Ride Social

If your bike is in reasonable nick but needs some a little love, book it in for a Free Bike Health Check. There are events running between 24th August and 3rd September.

If you need a bike before you’ll be ready to roll, check out Cyclescheme. You’ll be able to save at least 25% on a bike and any gear you need.

Whatever you do, have a think about riding in on September 3rd as it’s a great way of keeping fit and saving money!
