Bristol Road Cycle Scheme, Chippenham

Wiltshire Council’s Connecting Wiltshire Team have recently completed a cycle scheme on Bristol Road in Chippenham, aimed at helping cyclists cross the busy Bristol Road and connecting the existing shared use cycle path that runs alongside Hardenhuish Brook and the quiet route on Woodlands Road.

The works involved the widening of the footways along Bristol Road, the upgrade of an existing pedestrian crossing to a new Toucan crossing and new shared use signage.
